When you book one of our Lake Ontario guided fishing trips in Mexico, NY, we handle the heavy lifting so you can focus on the fishing. Our goal is to provide the best value fishing charter on Lake Ontario by including all the essentials for a successful day.
Onboard Amenities & Equipment

Premium Lures: You’ll have access to a variety of high-performance lures designed to trigger strikes from Chinook salmon, steelhead, and lake trout.
Full-Service First Mate: To ensure your trip runs smoothly, a First Mate is typically on board to assist with lines and gear (customary tips are 10–20%).
Catch Cleaning & Filleting: After we hit the dock, we provide complimentary fish cleaning and filleting. We’ll have your catch ready to go for a fresh Great Lakes dinner.
Safety First: Our 27' Tiara is fully equipped with an enclosed head (toilet), GPS, Fishfinder, and Radar. Child-sized life vests are available, but please let us know in advance if you have young children joining.
What to Bring: Your Checklist for Success
To ensure you stay comfortable during your private fishing charter in Mexico, New York, we recommend packing the following items. Being prepared for the unique conditions of eastern Lake Ontario will make your trip much more enjoyable.
The Essentials
NYS Fishing License: This is a requirement for everyone 16 and older. You can purchase your license online through the NYS DEC website before your trip.
Footwear: Please wear soft-soled shoes or sneakers. Avoid boots with black soles or heavy treads that can mark or damage the deck.
Sun Protection: The reflection off the water can be intense. Bring sunglasses (polarized are best for seeing into the water), sunblock (non-spray preferred), and a hat.
Food & Clothing
Layered Clothing: Even during summer fishing charters in New York, it can be significantly cooler on the open water. Bring a light jacket or sweatshirt.
Rain Gear: A light rain suit or waterproof windbreaker is recommended in case of spray or light passing showers.
Coolers: Bring a small cooler with your favorite snacks and bottled water/drinks. You will also need a separate cooler to leave in your vehicle to transport your fillets home.
Beverages: Alcohol is allowed in moderation. However, no glass bottles or hard liquor are permitted on the vessel.
Helpful Extras
Motion Sickness Medication: If you are prone to seasickness, we recommend taking a preventative (like Dramamine) the night before and the morning of your trip.
Camera: You'll want to capture photos of your king salmon or rainbow trout before they head to the cleaning station!
